'You want a bubble butt and you don't want to work hard?'

I know my weekly posts aren't exactly going to plan but I think you guys should allow me. I am doing better than once a month right?

The Author School Day was incredible! It's such a weird process because Helen and I are always stressed out and then the day runs smoothly. The speakers were fantastic! The authors were chatty and asked loads of questions. I finally got to meet Katherine Webber author of Wing Jones. She gave me such a great quote for my Emily book and is so sweet in person. We saw each other and was like 'Selfie!'  Honestly, I just love The Author School and now we are planning our London Book Fair one and tickets are already on sale. Now we are doing a different ticketing scheme from tickets selling from £50 all the way to £70, so if you book quick you can get some really cheap tickets but if you leave it to the last minute, you will grab an expensive one. So chuffed that Lit agent Clare Wallace will be back to do a full class and do one-to-ones!! Book www.theauthorschool.com

I am doing a Black Friday/ Cyber Monday sale that ends on Wednesday. I mean I think this sale is fire. 50% off books and battle cards and ebooks for 99p. You're welcome :) Everything is selling fast. Yay!! So grab something while you can SHOP BLACK FRIDAY

Apparently there are people who want to get Sleeping Beauty banned in schools because it promotes some form of sexual aggression. It's not that deep.

I think I can see the finish line of my dancing life. I do like to teach but I can see that I am getting so much deeper into the publishing world that I don't see how long I'm going to be teaching for. I'm even getting sick of wearing trainers and that says A LOT!

I took Anneliese to see Dream Girls for her birthday. It was AMAZING!! It's next to the Savoy Hotel so it screams glamour and I booked a day when Amber Riley was meant to be playing Effie White but she wasn't there. The other girl who played her. I just need a second. Her voice was flawless and when she went to sing 'And I am telling you' the whole audience gasped because that's literally the highlight of the musical. When she hit THAT note, everyone went crazy. The show was just done so well. The guy playing Jimmy (Eddie Murphy's character) was him to the T. I went home and just downloaded the soundtrack so my wedding will just be a Dream Girls soundtrack. The only thing I didn't like was 'Listen' was sung as a duet and they had changed the words but I think it was down to copyright because the song was written for the movie. A few days after the show I re-watched the movie so I could sing off key without everyone judging me.

Kris Jenner having a scribe is one of the best things I have seen on TV.

Cause it's so cold, it's so hard to go to the gym and just be motivated. I've been pretty consistent but sometimes after work I just want to do nothing! Anyway I went to this class with this new instructor. She honestly reminded me of myself. I am an organised mess so I think sometimes I come across like I'm blagging (usually am) but you will be worked hard! She was fiddling with her music, reading her notes for time and I can see people getting annoyed but I was looking at her like this is me. She was making these comments and I couldn't stop laughing. I don't think people clocked it till later. But she would say things like 'You want a bubble butt and you don't want to work hard? I have a bubble butt!' or she would be on all fours and say 'Ladies this is the best position that guys like, you must make sure you do this position.' The best class.

Justice League. Blah. Jason Momoa. Yes! But on the plus side, The Incredibles 2 trailer looks like the best thing I have seen!

I went to Waterstones and saw this beaut on the shelf!!! Oh hey Ems :)

My meeting with an agent

Those of you who have been following this blog from the beginning will know that I've been trying for years to get an agent. Well I have the best news...I HAVE A LITERARY AGENT!!!!!!!! Omg I was in so much shock when they responded and it wasn't the rejection letter I was used too. You're probably wondering how did this happen right? Remember when I went to The London Book Fair? My PR told me to go through the exhibition directory and message all the literary agents for a meeting. Whilst I was doing that, most of them had links to their sites so I figured why not submit for the thousandth time, you never know. The directory is super long so I got bored doing it and Helen (PR) kept emailing 'Have you finished it?' All I can say is thank Jesus that she did that because that's when I submitted to Raimondi and Campbell. I got a response to read the whole of the novel. Now I've been at this position before and it usually ends there, so I sent the book in. Th...

2012 is the year where you'll know my NAME!

I know, I know. Saying I've been busy is no excuse for not writing in this blog but trust me I have been. So the good news. I went to New York which was fun for Chelsea (fellow bloggers) bday. We were so lucky that we had missed the snow and got loads of sun in November. Got to see the Statue of Liberty, up close, Times Square, 5th Avenue, went up the Empire State Building and of course the International House of Pancakes! I thought it would resemble the Hard Rock Cafe but the look is very laid back, the portions are not. The shopping side wasn't brill because their tax is so high it's not worth it and don't even let me get started on the street numbers and avenues. Confused! Me and Chels walked everywhere just because it was so confusing. I had a six pack when I got home. One of the highlights of the hol was definitely the musicians on the subway who were so lost in their music they kept forgetting that they weren't in Madison Square Gardens (We went there, I brief...
